Botanical Print, "Helleborus orientalis" by Jessica Gring

This second time around we created an open invitation for the public to submit writings, pictures, and music in the theme of "Spring". We took the title, "Summer in the Light and Winter in the Shade" from a quotation by Charles Dickens as it neatly and very nicely captures the season.

As this is only our second issue we are continuing to experiment in both form and function. This time around we decided to flip our entire layout on its side--making it horizontal. We incorporated more visual elements, our first poem, as well as some helpful resources such as our "Seasonal Foods" calender.

Topics in this issue include "Cycles of Growth", Gardening, Seasonal Living and MUCH MORE!!

Accompanied Music Compilation  PV003

This compilation features all new music contributors. With the exception of the Broads (CA) all artists come from the Pacific Northwest. We were exceptionally pleased with the variation we received along our "roots music" theme. The word "roots" in regards to music might invoke imagery of ancient indigenous cultures, western traditional music (ie - folk or blues), or perhaps a process of creating from one's local environment. Indeed this compilation captures all of these concepts and much more. Give it a listen and hear the magic.
